Bad boy baron
Trouble is in the air for actor Baron Geisler as he faces charges of sexual assault .
Beleaguered actor Baron Geisler is in hot water yet again. The self-confessed alcoholic has been sued by Patricia, the daughter of celebrity couple William Martinez and Yayo Aguila, for sexual harassment.
Baron and Patricia met in a club in Manila's business district. The alleged sexual harassment happened when Patricia was about to leave the club. She recounts her experience to our Manila mole:"Baron asked for my help in counting his change.
Since he is a family friend, I obliged. But the minute I went over to count his change for him, I suddenly felt his hand touching me in inappropriate places. And he whispered something offensive in my ear.
“I pushed him aside and sought the help of friends and the club owner. I immediately called my dad and together we went to the police station."
We tried to get Baron's side of the story, but received no replies to our e-mails.
Drinking problem
Baron has got himself into all sorts of trouble when he is drunk. Countless times, he has promised to reform and rid himself of the nasty addiction. For a while, he seemed sober, until he joined Celebrity Big Brother where on national TV, he got drunk and embarrassed himself again. Since then, he has been spotted in clubs back to his drinking and destructive ways, which is such a waste because he's got great potential as an actor. Let's hope Baron sobers up soon.
Heart will go on
Heart Evangelist is joining Richard Gutierrez in Dubai for the shoot of new action series Asero. Heart and Richard will be in the"city of gold" for a couple of days to film the programme's pilot episode.
It seems like everything is turning out rosy for Heart these days after leaving Genesis Entertainment in favour of the Kapuso network. Although her relationship with Jericho Rosales seems to be in trouble (something she has persistently denied), the prodigal daughter has reconciled with her family and has given her career a new focus, which will make many of her fans happy. She's got so much talent, and hopefully this opportunity will enable her to finally shine.
‘Don't blame me'
One of the staunchest supporters of international pop star Billy Joe Crawford, German Moreno, expressed disappointment when he found out that his former ward was going to host the local version of reality-based show Dream Academy on a rival network.
But Kuya Germs, as the veteran programme host is called, was cautioned by his bosses about saying anything about the issue. Apparently the decision wasn't made by Billy. Being under the artist management arm of Endemol, Billy was chosen by the franchise owner of the Dream Academy series to host the Philippine version. In effect Billy had no control over the decision and was simply following orders as an artist. Let's hope this matter is laid to rest.
