After being relegated to B-grade movies such as Hastey Hastey, composer Anu Malik just manages to dish out a lukewarm soundtrack. The cliched stage-dance-item numbers We Will Rock You (Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan) and This Is The New Age Mantra (Kunal Ganjawala, Sunidhi Chauhan) use heavy electronic rhythms and Hindi- English lyrics. Kunal Ganjawala's Bheegi Bheegi and Zubin Garg's Al Madad are the only ones that impress.

This excellent compilation brings together some of the finest Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar duets from the '60s and '70s. Kumar's macho vocals and Mangeshkar's soothing voice is a perfect blend for classics such as Gaata Rahe Mera Dil, Kora Kaagaz Tha, Kya Yehi Pyar Hai, Tere Mere Milan Ki Yeh Raina, Bhool Gaya Sab Kuchh and Tum Aa Gaye Ho. The album is a must-buy if you have a fetish for the golden oldies.

Showing his flair of ghazals and Indian classical style, the maestro has composed some superb songs such as Na Tum Bewafa Ho, Main To Pee Ki Nagariya Jaane Lagi, Agar Mujhse Mohabbat Hai and Yehi Hai Tamanna.
