She's no diva
At a time when heroines are stereotyped as divas, here comes an actress who strives to break out of the mould. Word has it that Priyanka Chopra continued to fulfil her commitments in spite of collapsing on the sets of Karan Johar's Dostana. She not only continued shooting, but she went on to do the interview and photoshoot for the promo of Love Story 2050 as well. An exasperated Mickey Contractor, her make-up artiste, said, "She is not silly, but stupid. Her professional attitude will be the death of her." All Chopra had to say was, "I could not cancel the interview and the shoot since the arrangements were all made and it's not good to disappoint people." Atta girl.
No stomach for it
According to sources, Ranbir Kapoor has pulled out of Aamir Khan's production Delhi Belly. "Ranbir's backing out is quite a big thing but Aamir will manage. We are very confident about our project. It has a great script and hopefully we'll finalise someone soon and get rolling," said an industry source, who did not wish to be identified. Considering that the film will see Aamir Khan in a negative role and also features Chitrangada Singh, the girl who created a stir with her debut performance in Hazaaron Khwaaeshein Aisi, it is already attracting top billing. From where we stand, it looks like a bad move, Ranbir.
Time to change
An obsession with the letter K and a departure from the Yash Chopraesque-style of filmmaking are some of the things that Karan Johar plans to alter with his forthcoming film My Name Is Khan. For starters, its title does not begin with the letter K. However, it does star King Khan. "I am not trying to be different. All I would like to say is that I am making a film that reflects my state of mind today and I want this movie to be as real as possible. I'm not trying too hard to do anything. I'm just being myself," he says.
