The Radio 1 lived up to its promise of giving listeners the biggest party of the year with astounding performances from UAE-based band Abri, Lebanese-born Canadian singer and songwriter Karl Wolf and Kelly Rowland, an integral part of the bootylicious threesome Destiny's Child.

The Radio 1 Live event began with Abri belting out songs from their debut album Sunchild much to the delight of the audience who cheered on.

After a mindblowing performance by the UAE-based band, Karl Wolf took the stage and thrilled fans with his raw energy. He had the crowd in a frenzy when he threw his hooded sweater into the pit. A tug of war ensued and finally one lucky fan managed to take possession of the memorabilia. The singer sang songs from his debut album, Face Behind The Face, and his recent album Bite The Bullet. He even sang an Arabic song to the delight of his fans.

Finally, it was the turn of the gorgeous Kelly Rowland to come on stage with the anxious audience roaring in delight. Two fleet-footed dancers entertained with their fluid movements while Kelly got ready to rock the party. When she came on stage the audience was in a rapture. Her mellifluous voice was an instant hit with the people as she sang songs from her solo albums as well as those of Destiny's Child. She also treated a fan to the time of his life when she invited him on stage and sang for him.
