Ajman: A massive traffic jam on Al Khail Road delayed petrol tankers from reaching petrol stations in Ajman on Thursday, causing five of them to run dry.

Ajman Police received hundreds of complaints from angry motorists who tried to refuel their cars at these stations, and urged them to calm down.

Colonel Ali Abdullah Alwan, Ajman Police Chief, told Gulf News the managers of the petrol stations had informed police that the situation would revert to normal after the tankers reached the stations by midnight.

Speaking on behalf of Enoc and Eppco oil companies in Dubai, Mirza Al Sayegh told Gulf News that a massive traffic jam on Al Khail Road delayed the petrol tankers from reaching the stations in Ajman on time.

"We expect the tankers to arrive by midnight and subsequently fuel supplies at these petrol stations will be back to normal," he said.
