Harare: Western countries are not welcome to observe Zimbabwe's runoff election unless all sanctions against President Robert Mugabe's government are removed, state media reported on Monday.
The government will not succumb to opposition pressure to allow international observers, Justice Minister Patrick Chinamasa said.
Chinasama said: "Tsvangirai seeks to introduce new rules in a game that has already started. He should stop playing or acting like a spoilt child," adding that they will act according to the current electoral laws.
Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has laid down certain conditions for his participation in the runoff, including international peacekeepers, election monitors, free media and an end to violence.
Thurty two people were killed and another 30 were missing from violence that has gripped the nation since the first election, Tsvangirai's party said on Sunday.
