Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received GCC Secretary General Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, who is visiting the country as part of a tour of the GCC countries.
Shaikh Khalifa was briefed by Al Attiyah on preparations for the 28th summit of GCC leaders in Doha next month, in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Shaikh Khalifa stressed the UAE's keen desire to boost the GCC's march in all domains to unify stances and enhance coordination and consultation among GCC member states.
Shaikh Khalifa expressed his hope that the upcoming GCC summit under the chairmanship of Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, would be successful in achieving the aspirations and ambitions of GCC countries.
Shaikh Khalifa also received President James Alix Michel of Seychelles.
The explored ways to broaden avenues of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic, trade, investment and tourism fields.
