Amnesty query
A reader in Dubai asks: Can a person who has just left the country during an amnesty (due to working on an expired visa) return to Dubai? How long will it take him to get a visit visa or an employment visa?
Those who have left the country during an amnesty may return to the country on an employment visa only after the elapse of the ban period mentioned in their passports. However, as for visit visas they may submit applications with the Naturalisation and Residency Administration any time after their exit from the country, and such applications will be subject to the decision of the Naturalisation and Residency Administration in that respect.
