Dubai: Dr Sulaiman Al Jasem, Vice President of Zayed University received Mirza Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Mohammad Obaid Ghannam, Director of Al Maktoum Foundation in his office in Dubai Campus yesterday morning to receive the foundation's donation cheque of Dh300,000 for a financial aid fund to assist students in their education. The Vice-President of Zayed University thanked the foundation for their donation and support of its students and programmes.
9 students awarded scholarships
Sharjah: The American University of Sharjah (AUS) announced the names of nine outstanding students who have been awarded the prestigious Petrofac Scholarships for fall semester 2007. Maroun Semaan, President and CEO of Petrofac International Ltd., presented the awards and congratulated the students for their achievements.
Campus locations attract best minds
Dubai: George Sa'ad, Head of Commercial and Alliances for Dubai Knowledge Village said campus locations such as the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) and Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) attract the best minds and provide them with productive environments. Sa'ad's comments came after the 19th annual convention of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) held in Trondheim, Norway. DKV participated as a gold sponsor.
