Jakarta: Indonesia's Meteorology agency issued a tsunami warning on Thursday after a strong earthquake hit southeast of Sulawesi island.
The agency put the quake at 6.4 on the Richter scale and at a depth of 30 km. The US Geological Survey put the magnitude at 6.6.
The earthquake was far away from a series of powerful quakes that have struck south Sumatra over the last few days.
