Dubai: Dubai World Central, which is taking shape at Jebel Ali, will form a major part of Dubai's $82 billion aviation infrastructure investment, said Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group.
Shaikh Ahmad will inaugurate the Airport Show today, which runs until May 30 at the Airport Expo Dubai. "Dubai is investing in the region of $82 billion in aviation infrastructure projects, of which 40 per cent ($33 billion) will be invested in Dubai World Central [DWC]," he said.
"Our support of the Airport Show... will capitalise on the unprecedented growth in the aviation and airport development sectors that the Middle East, India and Africa have experienced in recent years," Shaikh Ahmad added.
