Al Dhaid Shaiman Anwar of team Young and Rubicam became the first batsman to score a century in the newly built Al Dhaid cricket village.
Making his debut, Anwar hit an unbeaten 166 to guide his team to a stunning eight-wicket win over Lanka Colts.
His knock contained 11 sixes and 17 fours and helped his team reach the target of 211 in just 19 overs.
In the second week, Anwar hit 125 to guide Team Young and Rubicam to a seven wicket win over Dubai Gold and Jewellery group.
Splendid display
Anwar's 125 came off 59 balls with 11 sixes and nine fours.
The knocks helped his team overcome the Dubai Gold and Jewellery team's score of 196 for 8 in 21 overs. In both the matches he bagged the man of the match awards with his splendid batting display.
In another match, Rosy Blue, making their debut in domestic cricket, lost to the experienced Lloyds Bank by 85 runs.
Best effort
Lloyds Bank went on a run spree through Sunil (87) and Kamal (52). Despite the best effort from Sadullah (3 for 41) and the tall and lanky Suresh Kumar Alanghat (2 for 39), Lloyds Bank piled up 230 for 7 in 25 overs.
Rosy Blue could muster only 145 despite Sudhir's 59. The chief destroyer of Rosy Blue's inning was former Kerala Ranji trophy left-arm spinner CTK Mashood. He took 4 for 13.
Muttu of Transgulf put up a brilliant allround display scoring 60 runs and taking three wickets but his team could not beat Mega Carpets.
