The Cartoon Surprises theme week, organised by the Dubai Ports Authority (DPA), came to a close yesterday after a week of fun-filled activity around the city. The cartoon spirit, however, has still not died down as the Captain Hamad Cartoon City, located in the Dubai World Trade Centre Hall Nos 5 and 6, will remain open until July 23.

He added that the reception to the various activities was really good from the children who participated in the workshops at the shopping malls where children learned a lot of new skills connected to their favourite cartoon characters - especially from the workshops 'Make Your Own Cartoon Character' to 'Cartoon Mask Workshop' and 'Puppet Workshop'. Al Mana' also pointed out that the Cartoon Characters like the Tweety and Sylvester Game, Hockey Maze and Teletubbies Ludo Board Game, who participated in the competitions organised during the week, were highly popular with the little ones. The cartoon characters, who walked around in the malls, added an atmosphere of fun, frolic and entertainment for the children who always wanted to meet them, offering them a chance to meet and take pictures with them. The Captain Hamad Cartoon City will be open until July 23, daily from 2 to 10pm. Entry per person is Dh5.
